Mumbai Congress distributes Free Note Books to the poor & needy

Mumbai Congress continued its very old tradition of distribution Free Note Books to the poor & needy on Sunday 3^rd July, 2011. This programme was conducted at Mulund (W) at St. Pius Community Hall.

Congress MLC, Charan Singh Sapra donated Free Note books via his NGO named SEWAK along with Budhelia Foundation. He congratulated the organizer, newly elected Vice-President Block 84 of Mulund Prakash Shetty, for arranging the programme in a well organized manner. More than 1000 poor & needy students were given the books. Mr. Sapra also said that like every year he will keep more programmes of Free Note Book Distribution which will continue till mid July & will benefit more than 12000 students, mostly from the Municipal Schools. He also urged the Congressmen to organize more programmes which will help the poor & said that he is ready to always help for such causes.

Shri Manoj Dube, President, Zilla Congress Committee who attended this Free Note Book function for the first time after becoming the President was pleased. He said that he will always try to attend these programmesst.
